I didn’t have access to that folder nor the ability to change permissions through windows explorer, but I was able to do whatever I want including overwriting files and successfully changing my background image! You have to “take ownership” of the folder in Windows and you can edit files then. I had to take ownership of the SystemData folder.

Lock screen was still that annoying-cave-entrance. That SystemData folder have to be changed with security edits you need to take ownership of that folder and its content through properties window, Security tab. After that you will have to edit picture files within subfolders depending on how many users are set on the computer.

If you change the view to medium icons or to large icons, then you can instantly see the pictures when you run the script let’s name it LikeWhatYouSee. The pictures are saved to the subdirectory Saved Pictures in your user profile’s Pictures folder.

You can run the script multiple times without harm, the pictures have unique filenames. Over time, you will get a lot of nice pictures in that folder. The pictures will not be removed from there, unless you delete them manually. Note: After you ran the script above, you can change the lock screen image to any of the liked pictures you saved easily.

[How to Download Windows 10 Spotlight/Lock Screen Images

 
 

I want to find a picture that I see coming up in my slideshow in Windows I have no idea where it is or how to find it – I’ve gone through my Pictures folder and it isn’t there.

I apologize for seeming like an idiot – but I’m seeing photos in my slideshow that I cannot find at all in my Pictures folder. I’ve gone through every picture in that folder and I cannot find several pictures that are showing up in the slideshow. I’ve gone through the folder 3 times and they aren’t in there. In reply to Laura’s post on November 3, What pictures are they? If they are background Theme pictures that got mixed in with your chosen slideshow pics they may only be available in the database location I provided links for in my first post.

Then they should be in the folder into which you imported them from the flash stick, in the Pictures folder which you said is the source for the slideshow.

Go through the sub folders to see if you can find them there. This site in other languages x.
